Simthetiq Provides Visual System for World’s First Level D Twin Otter Full Flight Simulator

Montreal, Canada, March 20, 2018 – Simthetiq, a leading provider of 3D visual solutions for the civil aviation and defense sectors, is pleased to announce that the X2 Visual System^TM, powered by the aXion image generator, has been qualified in the world’s first Twin Otter Level D Full Flight Simulator.

The simulator which is owned and operated by Pacific Sky Aviation, has recently received Level D certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and Transport Canada. It offers unique visual features, including Simthetiq’s proprietary dynamic 3D water, enabling multiple seaplane training options such as takeoffs and landings in a wide range of sea states, winds, and water conditions.
