SIMTHETIQ DELIVERS IMMERSIVE TRAINING CLASSROOM TO THE ROYAL CANADIAN NAVY
Simthetiq, a leading provider of 3D content and training solutions to the defence sector, is pleased to announce that it has delivered an Immersive Classroom to the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), to be utilized for multiple naval training applications.
The virtual classroom uses the Station IX™ immersive and multi-user display environment that is also networked to external virtual reality units to provide additional simulation and training capabilities.
The solution also includes custom training content for specific naval applications that will deliver high value, immersive, scenario-based training to improve transfer of knowledge, enhance safety and increase deployment readiness in line with the strategic objectives of the RCN Future Naval Training System (FNTS).
The immersive classroom will be utilized at Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt (CFB Esquimalt) in a brand-new facility designed to meet the needs of future Naval training.
Simthetiq displayed the immersive classroom solution at Canada’s Global Defence and Security Trade show, CANSEC, that took place at the EY Center in Ottawa from June 1st to 2nd 2022.
