The solution combines Simthetiq’s leading Image Generator, their vast library of airports and an ever expanding number of realistic 3D Simulation Entity models with ASTI’s Simulated Air Traffic Control Environment (SATCE) product to provide one of the most comprehensive and complete solutions to effectively replicate a modern, busy flight training environment. Deployed at the Chilean Army Flight Training Academy, this new solution offers an unprecedented level of immersion and realism for pilot training.
SERA provides realistic air traffic control (ATC) and other radio communications, teaching students to interact with ATC and cope with the sensory overload associated with busy airports and airspaces. Instructors can select and run training scenarios through an intuitive interface. As a result, they no longer need to role-play ATC and can focus on crew training during each session. This solution enhances any FTD, reducing instructor workload and bringing a level of pilot immersion previously unavailable.
With the recent addition of over 450 commercial aircraft and airliners to Simthetiq’s moving model library, the addition of ASTi SERA compatibility brings training powered by the X2 Visual System to the next level of realism for customers and training organisations worldwide.
The Level D compliant X2 Visual System is qualified on over 70 Flight Simulation Training Devices worldwide, including more than 20 Level D Full Flight Simulators.
